As we eagerly anticipate the launch of the 25th James Bond movie, No Time To Die, which has now been rescheduled for release in April 2021, we take a trip down memory lane to 2006 - the year Sophie’s iconic ‘Algerian Loveknot’ necklace made its debut in the James Bond movie Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
No stranger to exclusive collaborations and bespoke jewellery commissions, Sophie Harley was approached by renowned costume designer Lindy Hemming to design a symbolic necklace - a beautiful love token that plays an integral part in the storyline in both Casino Royale and, the sequel, Quantum of Solace.
This stunning piece, the ‘Algerian Loveknot’ necklace, was designed specifically for actress Eva Green to wear as the alluring femme fatale, Vesper Lynd. Vesper is seen wearing the necklace throughout the film making it one of the most coveted pieces of jewellery to appear in a Bond movie to date. Bond carries the necklace with him into Quantum of Solace almost as a memento mori and it was also in fact the last shot on screen.
As with every bespoke jewellery design, Sophie explored the meaningful storyline encapsulating the eternal and powerful love presented by Vesper Lynd’s character, with the ancient and contemporary styling of the ‘Algerian Loveknot’.

Exquisitely detailed granulated scrolls, wire work and engraving decorate the central knot which is hung from multi layered chains, attaching around the neck with a unique version of Sophie’s signature winged heart clasp. Made in oxidised sterling silver with gold plated detail.
The most coveted jewellery from a James Bond movie, the ‘Algerian Loveknot’ is the ultimate gift for James Bond fans and their loved ones - a symbol of everlasting love between two soulmates.
