Ethical Gold

In 2009 Sophie teamed up with Cred, the original fair trade jeweller, (founded by Greg Valerio), to produce this opulent ethical collection Kolibri.

 

This sumptuous collection was inspired by Sophie's trip to the African savannah and combines beautiful gems in the colours of Savannah sunsets. The settings are surrounded by exquisite natural and organic details such as leaves, seeds, vines and tiny humming birds crafted in hammered textured gold.

 

The collection was made entirely from 18 carat fair trade gold, sourced by Oro Verde, the worlds premier supplier of ethically sourced precious metals in South America. It also features ethically mined stones, including fire opals, ruby, amethyst and sapphires, by the artisans of Malawi and Tanzania.
